What is dtyย yarn? DTY yarn, also known as False Twist Texturing, is theย fabric abbreviationย of Draw Textured Yarn. There are 5 types of dtyย yarn.
Based on the characteristics of thermoplasticity of synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon, it is heated and set when the fiber is twisted and crimped, and the twisted and crimped state is fixed to obtain a fluffy, elastic and untwisted stretch yarn. The silk thread has a slight torque without twisting and has good elasticity, so it is called dty yarn.
DTYย Yarn: General DTY
General DTY means that the fiber is twisted to a certain shape and then untwisted. The yarn retains the bulkiness of the twisted state but has no twist. The traditional processing method uses the above three-step method, and currently, it is completed in one step on the false twisting stretch yarn machine. The fiber has good torsion and elasticity, so crepe fabrics and stretch fabrics with better crepe effect can be developed.
DTYย Yarn: Full Twistedย DTY
In order to make the product obtain a comfortable effect, have a more ideal bundling, and obtain a good weave effect, people add a certain twist on the dty yarn machine to form a full twisted DTY. At present, the full twisted DTY can be completed on a one-step texturing machine with a false twist and a real twist.
DTYย Yarn: Slub Yarn
The false twist elastic yarn is mixed with other monofilaments and twisted. Due to the gap overfeeding, there are regular slubs on the surface of the blended fiber, which is completely covered by the leather filament, while the non-slubby segment is twisted with the sheath and the core wire side by side. This is the slub yarn developed on the market. At present, there are more than 10 varieties developed, such as (full drawn yarn) skin yarn (white polyester FDY)ย andย core yarn (white polyester FDY). The common specifications are 240dtex / 60F.
DTYย Yarn: Uneven DTY
With Moy (medium speed spinning) polyester or POY (pre-oriented yarn, high-speed spinning) polyester as raw materials, it is made by drawing and false twisting on a one-step machine. In the drawing section, due to the different drawings, the thick and thin knots of the filament is produced. After the deformation of the false twist yarn, both the coarse and fine appearance and the fluffy performance can be achieved. The elastic yarn with coarse and fine pitch is called uneven dty yarn.
Due to the innovation and improvement of the false twist texturing machine, the two raw materials are allowed to be processed simultaneously through the double thread path, thereby increasing the product variety. For the non-uniform polyester yarn with long thick knots and short details as the skin, and FDY (full drawn yarn)ย polyesterย as the core, the raw material formed by the network can have 1 to 3 places per meter, and eachย place has 2 ~6cm thick section.
DTYย Yarn: Mixed Twisted DTY
In the thread processing, two twists, positive and negative, are formed in the twisting zone and the untwisting zone. So on the whole, the positive and negative twists are offset and โno-twistโ, but there are positive and negative twists in the part of the thread, thus forming a mixed twisted false twisted textured yarn. It has two types: single strand type and mixed fiber type.
The single strand type is the single filament mixed twisted dty yarn. In the twisted section of the filament, due to the tight wrapping of the fiber, there is a thin twist, while in the untwisted section, the silk body is bulky and thick. The length of twist and coarse pitch can be adjusted. The mixed fiber type is to combine two kinds of monofilament dty yarn to form the two-color effects and different shrinkage effects. Three kinds of combinations of irregular polyester,ย cationic polyesterย and colored yarn are formed.
